2. God's voice is not a voice of anxiety, doubt, unsettledness and exhaustion. Instead, God's voice speaks of His rest and peace.
3. God's voice is not a voice of obscurity. He doesn't speak in riddles and He doesn't beat around the bush. God speaks clearly to those who seek him - James 1:5
4. God's voice is a voice of hope and a future decided. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
5. God's voice is not the voice of condemnation. Rather, it is the voice of conviction/encouragement. Our own minds are quick to condemn us, telling us we are never good enough. But the bible says, "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of Life set me free from the law of sin and death. - Romans 8:1-2
Condemnation and conviction is not the same. Condemnation discourages and breeds hopelessness in us. It gives us the feeling that nothing can ever fix our problems. On the contrary, Conviction encourages and gives us the determination to allow God to give us solutions to our problems.
"When You speak, difficult circumstances fade away. By Your Name, the fierciest of oceans is still"
Looking back on the past few months, it looked like a period of uncertainty and of doubt. Never have I cried so much, think so much emotionally and mentally and consulted God so much. It was a journey of knowing exactly what I want in my life and how I want to live my life now and in the future. It was a journey of self-discovery and finding God again.
I found and realised that He is always there. Always patient to guide me along the path I was always meant to take but lack the courage to. I thank God for the struggle and that circumstance because I emerged with certainty and assurance.
"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" Psalm 9:9
