Post Exams Checklist
Never too late to make a small mental checklist of things to do after exams.
No idea why, but I have this feeling that as the years in uni fly past, the after exam plans kinda mellow significantly. Gone are the plans to go diving, party the wee hours away. Few of that now. Well, there's good ol shopping to fall back on. =)
Back to my simple checklist:
1) Salon (time to pay more attention to my hair. (Deciding if I should do something drastic to it, like have a short bob (!), curl/wave it (?) or just stick to status quo)
After 2004's bad hair year, I should try to steer clear of curling my hair. It was a nightmare to begin with. Well, shan't bring back days of messy and uncomb-able hair.
2) Mani+Pedi at Good Earth
3) Shop & Stock up on facial stuff for 3 months overseas internship
4) KTV and swimming at May's place
5) Wait for Jax to finish his exams, which ends on May 4. Wait for my other girlfriends' to finish theirs as well. Bittersweet really, to have my exams end on the 13th april. I shall have my fun first with my uni mates. Hah.
6) Clubbing with Pricing girls
7) Ice cream spree at Daily Scoop and Island Creamery all in a day
8) 2nd year anniversary with Jax =D
There, a pretty plain checklist. No scuba diving trips and white water rafting.
More excitement please.
Movies and Songs.
Watched 23 and Charlotte's Web. I know both are like heaven and earth; one is freakish, the other enchanting and lovely.
I do think Jim Carrey is one of the most versatile actor in Hollywood. He can be the rubber face joker and yet there's still this dark aura around his acting for the number 23. It was nothing short of brilliance. There's a stark difference between the American version of freakish shows and the Oriental freakish shows. For the former, they play with your mind, the latter, well let's just say I'm paying to scare myself. Haha, I really can't bring myself to sit through those jap and korean scary movies where they only rely on sound and make up gimmicks to scare the hell out of me. Most probably, I'll sit through 3/4 of the movies with my hands over my eyes.
Charlotte's Web theme song - Ordinary Miracle by Sarah Mclachlan
It’s not that unusual
When everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
The sky knows when its time to snow
Don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own
Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a rain drop falls
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Birds and winter have their fling
But always make it home by spring
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we’re all a part
Of the ordinary miracle
Ordinary miracle
It seems so exceptional
That things just work out after all
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Sun comes up and shines so bright
And disappears again at night
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
The lyrics are so meaningful. It sounds even better if you hear it for yourself. Just love Sarah Mclachlan's soothing voice.
