SHIT HAPPENS,

You just have to deal with it.

Shitty issue no 1:

Qiu Xin, Lay Yee and I are unable to go to HK until the end of our internship which ends on 3rd august. Damn crappy. It was a major blunder on our part. We applied for the wrong visa. Instead of applying for the multiple entry visa, we applied for the single entry one which only allow us to enter China once from Singapore. So if we were to go to HK and back to Shenzhen almost every fortnight, the single entry visa will be rendered void.

Oh goodness. I'm kinda pissed at myself. Cause I had the common sense to actually want to apply for multiple entry in the first place(which really makes more sense than applying for the single entry visa). Ricky at OCS said its fine to apply for single entry. He totally misunderstood our question. We took his word for it, and went ahead to apply for the single instead. Well, 2 alternatives, apply for another visa again. I don't mind paying more. But Qiuxin and Lay Yee are kinda reluctant.

Anyway, deal with it. I'm sure there are other stuff we can do in Shenzhen and the nearby places in Guangzhou. I'll ask Adrian who went to apply for the multiple visa again, to buy back KK donuts from HK for me then. Got that covered.

Shitty issue no 2:

Grades are out. And I'm not as glad as I wanted to be when I saw my grades. My Cross cultural mod grade was a major GPA killer. And to think, it was one of the most interesting mods I have ever taken so far. Sheesh.

You know what, now I'm seriously thinking if second majoring in OBHR is indeed a wise choice. HR profs are known NOT to give As to students. The most is a B+. They justified this fact by telling us they are HR practitioners so they are more stringent when it comes to correcting the policies and answers we give during our exams. Great......

Ok, grades aren't everything.

Alrights, enough of wallowing in self-pity. On to other cheerier stuff.

I'm gonna try my hand at cooking stir-fried broccoli and beef this saturday during the once in 3 months cooking party at my cell group. Yay! Looking forward to it tonnes. Been awhile since we had cooking sessions.

I thought I could get away with not cooking anything and just eat. But, not anymore. Gone are the days where I only ever rely on my grandma to make sambal chilli to bring for such cooking sessions. Haha, yes, I only contributed sambal chilli and some desserts which are all bought. Sad or rather embarrassing to say, all the food contributions are not entirely from my own effort.

So, this time round, it's time for me to make some meaningful contributions. I opted for stir-fried stuff. Should be pretty easy right, just throw in everything and stir fry. Plus, I got a simple recipe to follow to =) And I'm gonna learn how to make mango sago from the only guy who knows how to cook in my cell group.

Hopefully, all things will work out this saturday. Don't wanna ruin dinner for my church pals with my stir-fried dish. Lol. My first time in cooking chinese dishes.
